Christmastime at the Nelson's house

Well today was a funny day exactly if you care to think of it as such, this morning I awoke to find nothing fixed for breakfast. So I proceeded in order to fix myself breakfast when almost all of a sudden I came across the realization of which day of the week it was. I am really telling you, when a person goes out of one life, to another, and back again it just seems strange, if you know what I mean. Well that is what I did in order to join my parents for their Christmas celebration. It just seems strange to me from going from one kind of freedom to another kind and being affected that way it just seems strange. But, otherwise, I digress. Anyways, the freedom I went from was that of living with my brother, with no rules or regulations on when to get up or go to bed, just as long as I show up for my volunteer shift at the hospital and the blind center he is happy. To the strict disciplinarian of my Dad's house which is where I go to bed by a certain time and am up by a certain time and all of that. Now I love my Mom and Dad but, it seems like when I visit it is just run the same way it always has. But, otherwise I digress, again. Christmastime was fantastic, I was able to see almost every one of my friends except I did not see Dr. Vincent P., but, he and his wife apparently were busy. I did on the other hand see Bob and Helen Fries, and they looked rather spectacular. Oh I almost forgot about Coach and his wife I did not see them either. I on the other hand did have the chance to go with my father around the neighborhood in order to deliver cookies so I did see the Josephs and the Burnett's and various other people whose names escape me right now but, rest assured they are not forgotten. That was about it for my Christmastime which was enough for me. That all happened before the actual holiday but on Christmas eve we, I mean my parents and I traveled over to my sisters home for a celebration. We all had good fixings over there and then we all opened our gifts I was given a video or a DVD of Mark Wallberg in a flick called, Invincible. And it is a true story of a bar tender who was the king of the sandlot football. Who actually tries out for the Eagles in an open audition, and wins the right to play for them. And some popcorn, and such I mean my sister is so inventive. She actually does so much with basically nothing coming in. You see she is a pastor's wife. And some soda. What a great gift. It certainly, was not expected. But, it was nice nevertheless. But that was the end of last year let us not dwell on the past but not forget it totally but, be looking toward the future. So to all my fine readers HAPPY NEW YEAR. And many more.
